Rescue Project is a thriving non-profit organization committed to spreading awareness for animal rescue and support of fostering and adoption through animal shelters. Through the community of sport, Rescue Project inspires others to share their active lifestyles and enthusiasm with their furry companions and brings together like minds to support animal rescue efforts.

What started as an idea in 2013 has been made successful with the support of my wide network of dog-loving athlete friends…and their friends.

I spent a decent number of years racing my bike while also being a full time grad student.  During this time, I always remained an active volunteer for rescue. However, when my own two dogs became older and life got busier, it became more challenging to keep foster dogs of my own. Still, I felt the need to continue to help animal rescue in some way.

One day, the light bulb turned on and Rescue Project was formed.  We have already grown from “just an idea” to an international outreach program supporting rescue organizations, animal shelters, and foster homes. This is not a solo mission. Rescue Project brings all of us athletes and outdoor enthusiasts together so we can get more dogs into foster and forever homes, ultimately saving more lives.
